5T Single Girder Overhead Crane

The 5T single girder overhead crane, as the name suggests, has just one main girder across the span. Electric hoist travel on lower flanges of main beams. No rail is required for cross travel. In addition to using a pendent and a remote control, a single girder overhead crane cannot be operated from an operating cabin. Because of the construction of this crane, there is no electro hydraulic thruster brake. All motions are controlled by a DC brake. Crane with one girder is used mostly for handling normal material in standard conditions.
